I haven't been doing a lot of swimming recently. Even though I work at a swimming pool 5, 6 & sometimes 7 times a week, I just haven't had the motivation since I had to give up my channel swimming spot a few months ago.
But this week I'm going to get back into it properly! He says again haha but no I'm going to make a concerted effort to get back into my swimming this week. Because I really want to do this swim - hopefully next year although I'm not especially confident about that - and also because I like to stay fit and healthy.
Now something that might help with my swimming is the fact that this week - for my other blog: Year31Project - I've had a new haircut. & it's so short that I won't need to wear a swimming cap anymore.
What do you think? I was nervous about what it might look like, mostly due to the generosity of the forehead fairy. But I don't think it looks too bad? And of course it won't really make any difference to my swimming but maybe if I can convince myself otherwise it might help me to get back in the pool and get swimming again?
But I doubt it! The only thing that kept me swimming so much between September 2013 and July 2014 was the belief that I was going to swim the channel in just a few short months time. Unfortunately at the moment I simply don't have the confidence that it will happen next summer instead. Thats's because I don't have the money to pay for it and I have no idea where it could come from.
Hopefully with my hair - I'm already growing it out - my confidence will grow back too. Here's to hoping anyway.
