Say hello to my little friend

I've wanted a bike ever since I moved to London (over 4 years ago) and I'm really happy to say that I've finally bought one.

I needed a bike that would suit two main purposes.

1. Get me to work quickly and safely (while saving me some money against my oyster card).
2. Help me to get into the kind of shape I need to be in to successfully swim the channel.

So here's the situation. I live in London (one of the most expensive cities to live in in the World) and my main work is as a lifeguard (one of the worst paid jobs in London) and so obviously I don't have a lot (read any) disposable income at the moment. And therefore although I see getting a bike as a necessity. I just can't afford to buy the cool 'retro' Peugeot racer that would remind me of my youth and make me feel like my cycling hero Miguel Indurain ever time I raced down Upper Street to work (in the same way I imagined myself as him every time I raced my friends around the block as a young child). I therefore had to give up on my silly dream and settled for this cheap, safe and sensible (read boring) option below. I think that quite possibly means I've finally become an adult :0)

ONLY KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AS IF I (Anthony Hett) took the sensible option!!!
Instead - of course - I blew my budget (and then some) on this cool ass mother fucker!

A limited edition Peugeot Reynolds 525 Comp circa 1990. A rare and very, very beautiful (if completely impractical) racing bike. But you only turn 30 once! (thankfully).

Ps. I bought this bike before realising that work is 7.4 miles from my house! haha.
