Golf counts right? haha
Ok so it's not real exercise but it's a start. A slow start but still a start. There was a lot of walking involved - sore hamstrings this morning - and swinging a gold club above your head like that takes a little bit of effort.
I don't normally play golf. I haven't in quite awhile. But I went up to Hull for a couple of days to see me mate Ash - who I met 11 years ago in my failing Engineering at Uni days - and he has recently taken up golf. Which if I'm being honest completely blindsided me. Which is not to mean that I'm slagging of golf, people who play golf or Ash when I say this but... he's just not the golf playing type.
I've played a little bit of golf in my time - especially as a kid - but not for about 4 or 5 years now - I wasn't very good back then - so it was interesting to say the least. A lot of searching for my ball, although not as much as I thought. I'm actually not too bad at hitting it straight... if I put absolutely no power into the shot whatsoever. So lots of short, straight shots which don't make for a very good score. Especially when you throw in some terrible putting. Although at some point I sunk a put of around 10 foot (Ash will vouch for me) and I also got par on a par 4 :)
So yes, still no real exercise yet but before you start getting too annoyed with my laziness. Blog posts about my first swim and also about my dodgy left knee will be up soon.
